Christopher SmithChristopher Smith

Author, President, American Graphics Institute

Christopher cofounded American Graphics Institute in 1994 after leaving Quark, Inc. Christopher recognized that publishers, designers, and communications professionals needed assistance in adopting and adapting to rapidly changing technology. He quickly grew AGI to become the leading technology training and consulting resource for nearly every major advertising, media, publishing, and marketing firm in North America, with clients in Australia, Asia, and Europe. Christopher has authored or coauthored more than one dozen books relating to electronic publishing technology, including the Adobe Creative Suite for Dummies and created the Digital Classroom series of books that have become standard curriculum in universities teaching print, web, and interactive publishing software.

Jennifer SmithJennifer Smith

Author, Vice President, American Graphics Institute

Jennifer Smith’s expertise bridges the gap between design and development of print, web, and interactive design.
She has managed and developed training and communication projects for companies such as Adobe, Microsoft, Hershey Foods, Hasbro, and RR Donnelley. Jennifer’s expertise lies in interpreting highly technical information and presenting it in a clear and easy-to-understand manner. She has written more than one dozen books on technology and design, and delivered training and seminars on four continents. Her books include the best-selling Photoshop book Adobe Photoshop CS5 Digital Classroom as well as five versions of Adobe Creative Suite Design Premium for Dummies (CS-CS5), and two versions of Adobe Creative Suite Web Premium for Dummies. Greg HealdGreg Heald

Training Manager, American Graphics Institute

Greg Heald has more than 20 years of practical design and production experience in both Web and Print environments. He has served as a contributing author or editor on a number of books, including the recently-published Dreamweaver CS5 Digital Classroom, Real World Adobe Acrobat, and several in the Classroom in a Book series for Adobe Press.
Greg is an Adobe Certified Expert in Photoshop, and has contributed to the development of Adobe’s certification exams. With more than a decade of experience as a professional software instructor, he has provided in-depth training for such prominent clients as Verizon, L.L. Bean, and Reebok. Greg holds a degree in Advertising Design from the acclaimed College of Visual and Performing Arts at Syracuse University.

Jeremy OsbornJeremy Osborn

Director of Training, American Graphics Institute

Jeremy Osborn has more than 15 years of experience in Web and graphic design, filmmaking, writing, and publication development for both print and digital media. At American Graphics Institute, Jeremy provides in-depth training and custom consulting for students and corporate clients, he is also the author of HTML5 Digital Classroom, Web Design with HTML and CSS Digital Classroom, and Dreamweaver CS5 Digital Classroom, published by Wiley. Jeremy holds an MS in Management from the Marlboro College Graduate Center, and a BFA in Film/TV from Tisch School of the Arts at NYU.

Glenn Hodgkinson

Instructor, American Graphics Institute

Glenn Hodgkinson is an instructor for AGI Training where he teaches a variety of design and web development classes. For over 15 years, he blurs the line between traditional and digital media. He has successfully designed, implemented and managed projects for prestigious clients such as Kodak, Nikon, Microtek and many more world leading brands. Over the last several years he has focused on education. He enjoys teaching others how to combine design and development skill into a cohesive and marketable asset. He has co-authored Photoshop Elements 10 Digital Classroom.

Chad CheliusChad Chelius

Author, Consultant, American Graphics Institute

Chad has a formal education in publishing technology, and has the trial-by-fire production experience that makes him a valuable contributor to every project on which he works. He’s served as the lead consultant for major InDesign migrations and Digital Asset Management implementations for clients such as Rodale Press (publishers of Prevention Magazine, Runner’s World, and multiple other magazine titles), and the publishing group of the National Geographic Society. He’s skilled in all aspects of print production, working with automation and XML. Chad holds professional certifications from both Adobe and Apple, which he uses in his role as a consultant and instructor for American Graphics Institute.

Haz OliveraHaziel Olivera

Consultant, American Graphics Institute

Haziel is an experienced and skilled production professional that quickly becomes valuable contributor to any project he works on. As an instructor and consultant for AGI, Haziel is loved by students and clients, and was always requested on a first-name basis by those who had the pleasure of working with him even once. He’s served as a consultant/trainer for companies such as Adobe, MEI, Advanstar Publications, Capital One, and the FL House of Representatives. Haziel holds professional certifications from Adobe, which he uses in his role as a consultant and instructor for American Graphics Institute.

John LandisJohn Landis

Professor Emeritus, Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education

John Landis taught for one of the Pennsylvania State Universities, in the Communication Design Department, for 33 years. Prior to his teaching appointment, John was Art Director of a Wilmington, Delaware, design office with clients E. I. DuPont deNemours, Armstrong World Industries, Atlantic Aviation, and others.
During his teaching career, he freelance designed for various clients including designing six cookbooks for health and ecology publisher Rodale, Inc., Emmaus, PA. At Kutztown University, he began the Communication Design Internship program; founded, edited, and designed the alumni newsletter; and founded and regularly taught the Campus Graphics course. He has had his design work accepted in numerous exhibitions and publications and has received recognition for teaching quality on a state and national level.

Lesa SniderLesa Snider

Lesa is on a mission to teach the world to create-and use- better graphics. She's an entertaining and internationally acclaimed speaker, as well as the author of the 900+ page tome, Photoshop CS5: The Missing Manual and coauthor of iPhoto '11: The Missing Manual. Lesa is a stock photographer and chief evangelist for iStockphoto.com and founder of the creative tutorial site, PhotoLesa.com. She writes a regular column for Macworld, Photoshop Usesr, and Elements Techniques magazines, and contributes frequently to Design Tools Monthly. Lesa has created tutorials for the Nat'l Assoc. of Photoshop Professionals since 2003, and has several video workshops available on creativeLIVE.com. She also teaches Advanced Photoshop for the accredited graphic design school, Sessions.edu.
